Lowestoft Journal Excellence in Marketing Award

About the Lowestoft Journal

The Journal is a community-based newspaper which aims to promote Lowestoft and north Suffolk and at the same time gives an updated and historical view of news events and views across the region.

It also campaigns for its readers and links up with a variety of organisations in and around the town for a series of high profile awards and contests which are promoted in paper and online.

Some of its most prominent campaigns includes Make It Safe for Mantha's Sake, calls for safety improvements at a Lowestoft road junction which claimed the life of a six-year-old girl; Third Crossing for Lowestoft; Keep Lowestoft Flying, supporting the Lowestoft Seafront Air Festival; Save our Seagull, helping to ensure the future of the community Seagull Theatre in Pakefield; and Upgrade the A12, linking up with Waveney MP Bob Blizzard to improve and upgrade the main route between Lowestoft and Ipswich.

The title has a vibrant and thriving web site www.lowestoftjournal24.co.uk which is updated 24/7 to keep abreast of breaking news stories and also features interactive sections.
