The Beach |
O2 TEAM UP WITH THE BEACH in community awards giveaway
O2 has teamed up with The Beach to give local community projects a chance to make a difference to where they live. £1,000 awards will be available for projects based within the East Coast area.
Local projects can apply through an easy online form at www.thebeach.co.uk. The money can be used for anything that will benefit the local community. Such as refurbishing a village hall to investing in sports equipment or helping to improve a playground.
The Beach’s Programme Manager Paul Carter said “On the East Coast we have dozens of groups working tirelessly to make their town or village a better place, I’m delighted we can work with O2 to really make a difference to what is such a wonderful part of the country to live”
O2’s Head of East Region Rachel Rimmington said ”It’s Your Community cuts out the red tape people generally have to go through to get funding. We’re really looking forward to getting out there and finding more ways to connect the businesses that we work with to the communities around them”

Harrod UK are the UK’s leading manufacturer of sports equipment (goals, posts and nets) supplying some of the country’s most prestigious venues including Wembley Stadium, Twickenham, Old Trafford and The Emirates Stadium, our goals and nets are the showpiece of the venue and all products are fully manufactured on site in Lowestoft.
The company diversified in the year 2000 into the mail order horticultural market with a 16 page catalogue selling just over 100 products. Harrod Horticultural have experienced considerable growth since then and the catalogue now consists of 112 pages and well over 1000 products carefully selected with the organic gardener in mind. Many of our products also feature at the RHS gardens and we exhibit yearly at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.

The Britten Shopping Centre is very much a local shopping centre, and with the open market area, the adjoining multi-storey car park and the nearby Bus station and Public Library, is very much at the hub of the local community.
