Thank you for all the help you have provided since I joined the Waveney Chamber. In addition to your creative approach to members' events, the energy, persistence and warmth that you bring to relations with members provides a fine model for us all that raises the quality and quantity of networking to new levels.

The talk on Marketing organised by Jan Green was a very successful event. This was helped by her careful attention to detail - making sure the room layout was such that everyone could see (a challenge with a room full of pillars), her close liaison with venue staff, and being there on time to welcome everybody. The organisation and information before the event was efficient and on the day she had a good system for reminding everybody and indicating to venue staff what food had been ordered!
The talk was good fun and the networking was excellent, she took care to introduce people to Chamber, Business Link and Enterprise contacts, and people were encouraged to take time at the end to chat some more. Jan's friendly approach helped to create a great atmosphere.

FAO Linda Yesterday I attended The Media Awareness Course organised by the Lowestoft Chamber of Commerce at the Kite Media Centre at Kirkley High School. The course was run by Media Answers Ltd with Mike Bennett and Helen McDermott she of Anglia TV fame and presenter of Birthday Club. What a great day it was! Presented with a great deal of humour the awareness of the power of the media was revealed. We were given a chance to practice the skills we were taught to enable us to, at least, have a fair chance of using the media to our own ends rather than falling into traps. We laughed till we cried and came away with many new insights and new skills. If there is another course like this on offer book early and have a great day. Thank you.
