These awards are open to both primary and secondary schools Colleges and Universities within the awards area that educates and involves students in environmental activities resulting in an increased awareness and concern for our environment.

This award ALSO recognises those who have made an outstanding contribution toward providing students and groups with environmental activities and programs throughout the academic year.

The Young Environmentalist of the Year Award recognises the contributions made by young people to protect and care for our environment. This award is open to anyone under the age of 18, living or working within the awards area.
This may include specific involvement within an environmentally friendly school/college project.
